Tariq Ahmad

Consultant

Tariq Ahmad has been practising family work to resolve the issues people experience throughout their lives, for eight years and became a Fellow of the Institute of the Legal Executives in 2008. He gives clear advice and avoids using unnecessary jargon. He deals with injunctions, children issues and financial matters (cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, pre and post-nuptial agreements and throughout court proceedings) whether at the same time as or after divorce and civil partnership dissolution proceedings. Further, he has also dealt with issues following separation after cohabitation.

Tariq attends most hearings to provide his clients with continuity throughout their matter; where it is necessary to instruct counsel, he will confirm this as early as possible and he will find the best possible counsel dependant on the issues and the client’s requirements. He regularly attends the County Court and has also made representations to the High Court. He also has a strong belief in providing a high level of service for each client.

Previously, Tariq worked exclusively in Family Law for a previous firm of solicitors and has worked to represent families and individuals from many walks of life. Some of these cases are where the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) acted as an intervener following criminal activity exercised by the other party to the case and made representations to the High Court in cases where children were removed from England illegally.

Away from work, he is a very keen cricketer and plays almost every weekend (weather permitting) for a local team and watching his favourite rugby union team, the Northampton Saints. Tariq is a family man and enjoys nothing more than to spend time with his two young children that keep him busy and looks to take them on as many social engagements as possible.

Tariq can be contacted on 020 3141 1000 or 07880 700644 or by email using tariq.ahmad@blacklawsdavis.co.uk
